A second meeting for future prospects & potential business partners! |

On February 11, the Marketing Team - EUMA 2010 held their second meeting for future prospects & potential business partners. The first one was a breakfast meeting and took place on September 25, 2009. This format was a cocktail event. Sabrina and I as Marketing Team were strengthened in our efforts to make the evening a success by Frieda Catteeuw – Sheraton - and Chantal Sneijkers - VRT, and by the presence of Marianne Rygaerts and Valérie Wouters from Downtown Europe. Particularly Sabrina’s efforts in getting a solid attendance paid off: We were 18 in total and welcomed 10 interested parties, from various sectors of industry. Not big in number, but strong in interest: Meanwhile 6 parties committed and more business is to follow as a result of this Marketing effort.I addressed a word of welcome to all attendees. With Sabrina, she continued by elaborating on the roles of Vanessa, Chantal, Greet, Frieda and Melissa within EUMA. It was great to have EUMA’s European PR Officer, Chantal, give a presentation on EUMA & EUMA 2010, how our network works, and how we aim to make the EUMA 2010 Conference a success for both our partners and the attendants. Her enthusiasm is contagious! We thank the Sheraton for hosting the February 11 prospects’ cocktail event. We could not do without such a solid Partner! Membership thoughts |

On a Sunday morning juggle with the right words to attract people to come to a conference… it was like in a dream “be trapped and can’t scream for help” J
But driven by my own proud in order to bring this to a good end, I started and overlooked every word and every sentence. A few hours later, I had my draft. All of a sudden I realized that writing invitations, announcements and newsletters wasn’t that simple as it looked like. You have to crawl into the skin of your readers and give them as much as information that they need. What does he/she needs to know? How can I bring it in a pleasant way? Can I use a humoristic note? …A lot of questions that crossed my mind.
I started, erased… started again, erased again. And as we are a team, of course, I got some help of my colleague members…That’s what makes my membership interesting.
Be a part of an association where you can help in an active way and learn something. Michèle De Coninck CommunicationTeam leader 2009-11-8 |

The breakfast marketing meeting was a success! |

The EUMA breakfast meeting on 25 September made marketing professionals and suppliers meet with EUMA in a professional, comfortable and non-threatening atmosphere.
We were 28 in total, and it was great for EUMA to welcome a representation from the travel & hotel sector, recruiting sector, publication sector, and IT sector, over the office supplies industry, translation industry, and the clothing business.
Present from EUMA were : Chantal Sneijkers, Frieda Catteeuw, Vanessa Smets, Greet Puttaert, Céline Kesteloot, Tina De Ploey Tina De Ploey Marketing Team leader 2009-10-04 |

Towards a successful Conference! |

After a high energy kickoff meeting on May 26th, we set up different working teams and divided the tasks. Have a look at the Conference Team page to see who is collaborating! We can be proud of our achievements so far: the website is up and running, the First Announcement has been printed and speakers and business partners are being approached. There is, however, no time to rest! The focus really is on Marketing now. If you are interested in partnering for our conference or if you know someone who is, do get in touch with the Marketing Team!
